Become a Friend of the Sainsbury Institute for the Study of Japanese Arts and Cultures
We are launching a new ‘Friends of the Sainsbury Institute’ scheme for those of you who would like to support us while enjoying closer engagement with our activities. Please read on to find out more.
Why Support Us
The Sainsbury Institute was founded in 1999 to promote knowledge and understanding of Japanese arts and cultures. Now in its second decade, the Institute needs your help and support to strengthen its world-class research and to continue to be a leader in the study of Japanese arts and cultures from the past to the present in the UK, Europe and globally.
Working with our partners and funders, the Institute furthers its mission through:
- Creating collaborative and active global research networks; and
- Disseminating the results of our research; while
- Advancing outreach and educational activities.
We are a small yet thriving organization where your support can make an enormous difference to our ability to continue to work as a centre of excellence for Japanese arts and cultures. If you would like to support the Institute and help us achieve our mission, please get involved.
Benefits of Becoming a Friend
We offer exclusive events throughout the year on Japanese arts and cultures for our Friends as well as sending you our quarterly e-magazine. By becoming a Friend of the Sainsbury Institute, you will be helping us not only to run world-class research programmes in the field of Japanese arts and cultures, but be offered the opportunity to enjoy a variety of intellectually stimulating cultural events. You will be supporting our cause while enjoying a closer relationship with the Institute.
